Maselli wins the “New Technology Simei-Enovitis” award at the SIMEI 2015 International Trade Exhibition

Maselli Misure S.p.A. is delighted to inform you that the UC07 instrument, specifically designed to analyze the concentration of dissolved CO2 in sparkling wine and soft drinks, has received the “NEW TECHNOLOGY” award in the “Lucio Mastroberardino” Innovation Challenge 2015. This competition was set up to give special recognition to the innovations presented at the SIMEI International Enological and Bottling Equipment Exhibition in Milan.
The “New Technology Simei-Enovitis 2015” award is given to projects whose contribution to process and product innovations is such as to bring about significant improvements in the wine production process, a sector in which Maselli has been operating the world over for more than 50 years.
All the innovations presented were assessed by a Technical-Scientific Committee made up of 27 authoritative representatives from the wine producing world. As well as the twelve Italian researchers from CREA Centres (Council for Agricultural Research and Agricultural Economics Analysis), the Edmund Mach Foundation and seven universities, there were 12 directors of the most important wine producing companies in Italy. The Committee also had highly qualified foreign members, including Monika Christmann (Institut für Oenologie – Hochschule Geisenheim University), Philippe Darriet (Inra Unité Oenologie Université – Bordeaux) and Pierre Louis Teissedre (Institut des Sciences de la Vigne et du Vin, Oenology – Bordeaux).
Giovanni Maselli, CEO of Maselli Misure S.p.A., who will pick up the award from the Deputy Minister for Development on 4th November in Milan, received the news with this comment: “I am delighted to be able to share with the whole Company this extraordinary achievement which confirms our ability to apply optical technologies in the construction of sturdy and reliable liquid analyzers. I am grateful to all our employees for their commitment and dedication to making this important project a success.
Maselli Misure is an Italian family-run business which for over 60 years has been supplying on-line and laboratory optical measuring instruments for liquids to many companies operating in different sectors all over the world. For further information visit www.maselli.com.
