The microprocessor-based model LR-01 automatic laboratory refractometer is Maselli's newest analytical instrument for laboratory use. With the push of a button, the instrument measures the refractive index of the sample, computes its concentration and presents the value on the backlit LCD digital display. The measurement can also be sent to an external printer or computer. The model LR-01's unique state-of-the-art design uses advanced technologies such as: abrasion resistant sapphire prism, long life LED light source and a high resolution CCD digital optical sensor to achieve high accuracy and reliability.

In addition to high performance the model LR-01 microprocessor provides the following innovations: 8 measuring scales (2 standard plus 6 user-customized ranges), automatic zero calibration with water, printer and computer outputs, single or continuous analysis and voice synthesizer in 4 languages. The instrument's splashproof membrane keypad and stainless steel enclosure assure troublefree operation in process areas. One can completely personalize and configure the instrument's operations and measurement ranges from the keypad or a remote computer. The instrument has an optional flow-cell adapter for continuous analysis in pilot plants. Primary applications for the model LR-01 include food, beverage, dairy, chemical, petrochemical and textile industry laboratories.
